Much of my advocacy has involved speaking to a variety of audiences about intersectional disability rights and LGBTQ rights. I’ve spoken at the White House’s 2016 LGBTQ Disability Day, the MIT Communications Forum, the Creating Change conference, the 2015 and 2017 American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities conferences, and the United Nations’ Disability and Ageing symposium, among others. I would be glad to come to talk to your university, school, company or organisation about the following topics:
- Disability history
- Social policy and disability rights
- Accessible and inclusive technology
- Intersectional disability justice, with a focus on race and LGBTQ identity
- Intersectional LGBTQ rights
- Disability and employment
Hosts must cover my travel and accommodations if I have to travel outside the Greater Boston area. Within Boston, I prefer to be paid an honorarium for my time if you can afford it. I prefer at least two weeks’ notice after a speaking invitation so I can prepare, especially if I need to travel. I’m open to travelling to most parts of North America and Western Europe; other areas are negotiable because of flight times.
